Parent Advocacy

You don't have to navigate this alone.

Navigating special education can feel overwhelming. ABC Consulting helps families understand the IEP process, prepare for meetings, review educational documents, communicate concerns, and advocate for appropriate services and supports.

A careful read of the paperwork, with plain-language notes on what it does and doesn't say.

Time to talk it through with someone who has sat on both sides of the table.

Meeting preparation

Know your questions, your priorities, and your options before you walk in.

Attendance at IEP meetings

Supportive presence and clarity in the room, in person or virtually.

Special education process guidance

Evaluations, eligibility, timelines, and next steps — explained clearly.

Behavior-support consultation

Practical strategies for home and school that fit your child.

Transition planning support

Preparing for the years after school with a realistic, hopeful plan.

Training for parents and caregivers

Small-group or 1:1 learning on rights, records, and advocacy.

ABC Consulting provides educational advocacy and consultation. These services are not legal representation and do not replace advice from a licensed attorney.

Looking ahead

Expanding Access for Families

ABC Consulting is exploring the development of a separate charitable organization that may eventually provide grant-funded parent education, advocacy scholarships, workshops, sensory resources, and support for families with financial need.

This initiative is currently in development. It is not yet recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, and donations should not be represented as tax deductible unless and until IRS recognition is received.
